Tourism development creates significant changes in the dimensions and structure of cities. Considering the effects of this activity, it can bring urban sustainability with proper and targeted planning to develop it. In the process of planning tourism development, in order to achieve urban sustainability, it is necessary to recognize and analyze the present situation. This study is to investigate and analyze the role of tourism on sustainability (economic, socio-cultural and environmental-physical dimensions) in the town of Si-Sakht (Dena city). The research is applied, conducted in a descriptive-analytical method, and the data has been collected based on the documentary and field method (questionnaire). The statistical population of the study is the residents of the county under study. By using the Cochran method, 315 people were selected as the statistical sample. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to process the data. According to the results, tourism development has been able to play an effective and meaningful role in each of the sustainability dimensions of the town. Also, results showed that among the dimensions of sustainability of the town, tourism has the highest and the lowest role in the socio-cultural sustainability dimension and the county’s environmental-physical dimension.
