Guide for Authors

Respected authors can use the Samimnoor system (click) to send a matching report to the quarterly journal. Respected authors should be careful that they send the PDF report of similarity that they receive directly from the similarity finder to the quarterly.


A reminder that having an Orchid code as a unique identifier is a requirement for all authors, please refer to https://orcid.org/ register to get your Orchid code. Please be careful in entering the correct orchid code of each author.


 

Online Submissions

Our selection of articles depends on the quality, breadth, and originality of the theme(s) covered and their bearing on the focus of the journal. We do not accept manuscripts published elsewhere.

Five files should be submitted. Submit the manuscript without the author's names, affiliations, and biographies. Along with it, submit a cover page that includes the manuscript title, author's names and affiliations, and the corresponding author's name and contact information (full postal and e-mail addresses, phone and fax numbers). The maximum number of pages should not exceed 15, including footnotes. Only one submission by an author will be considered at a time.

Required files to be uploaded: Five essential files must be submitted through the manuscript submission system: 1. The main file of the manuscript (without the names of the authors), 2. Title page in the mentioned format, 3. Authorship form (must include the title of the article and the name and surname of all authors and be signed by all authors), 4. Conflicts of Interest form (must be signed by the Corresponding Author and uploaded with the article file), and 5. Cover letter.

Guide to editing articles

 

Please pay attention to these points in order to avoid delays in judging and publishing the article on time.

- The article must be the result of research and scientific work and it has not been previously published in another publication - either domestic or foreign - or the collection of articles of seminars and scientific conferences, or sent to another publication at the same time.

Note 1. Those articles presented at scientific conferences that only have their summaries printed (provided that the full details of the conference are mentioned) can be reviewed.

Note 2. Review articles from experienced writers and authors of research articles in the desired field will be accepted on the condition that research documents are included in the compilation of those noteworthy and numerous sources.

 The official language of the journal is persian, but articles in English can also be reviewed.
 The essay should have a fluent composition and be free of problems in terms of grammar and writing rules.
 The maximum volume of the article includes text, figures, graphs and tables (15 pages), if it exceeds this amount, the publication office will not be responsible for non-printing.
 The article should have the following structure:

- First page: the full title of the article in Farsi and English; Persian abstract (300 words); Persian vocabulary key (up to 5 words). English abstract.

- Next pages: The introduction should be integrated and include: (problem outline; importance and necessity; objectives; research questions; background), theoretical foundations, research method, scope of study, findings, discussion, conclusion, sources.

 Note 1: The details of the author/authors should not be mentioned in any part of the article.

Note 2: Foreign terms with precise and expressive equivalents in Farsi and the full name of the word and abbreviations used in the text should be referred to the subtitle.

Note 3: Maps and charts should be prepared with proper content functionality (the map must have geographical coordinates, linear scale and view direction).

Note 4: An extended abstract in Persian and Latin (between 750 and 1000 words) should be prepared as a separate file with the following structure.

Persian extended abstract: introduction, research method, discussion and findings, conclusion, key words.

 Extended Abstract: Introduction, Methodology, Results and discussion, Conclusion, Keywords

 

- The typesetting of the article should be done in the Word program, with a margin of 3 cm on each side and a distance of 1 cm between the lines.

- The title of the article should be B Mitra Bold 13 (B Mitra), the abstract text of B Mitra Thin 12 (B Mitra). The main titles of the article are B Mitra Bold 13 (B Mitra). It is necessary to use B Mitra thin 13 font in Persian text and Times New Roman 11 font in Latin text. The font of the final sources should be 12 thin.

 -Each table should have a number and a title (description), which should be written in the middle above the table with bold bi-mitra font and 10 pt size. It is typed and numbered in order from 1. It is better to insert the tables inside the text and after the place where they are referred to. All texts inside the table should be typed in right-aligned (B Mitra pt. 10 thin) if they are Persian, and in left-aligned (Times New Roman 10pt) if they are Latin. All the numbers in the tables must be typed in Farsi and in the middle of the Chinese (use a hyphen between the numbers instead of a dot). Mentioning the unit of quantities in the table is mandatory. Each table should be placed with a blank line from the text before and after it. Also, if the tables have a reference, the reference number must be mentioned in parentheses at the end of the table title.

Each map and diagram (both with figure title) must have a number and title (explanation) that should be written in the center below it with a bold, pt-size, bi-mitra font. 10 types and numbered sequentially from 1. Charts and figures can be in color or black and white, but in such a way that their colors and details can be recognized if they are printed in black and white. Figures should be included in the text and where they are referred to. It is mandatory to mention the unit of quantities in the figures. All figures must be referenced in the text of the article. When preparing the figures, pay attention that the size of the numbers, words, quantities and the guide of the curves (legend) is large enough so that they are completely clear and legible after being inserted in the article. Create a line of space before and after each shape.

 

- The list of cited sources should be included in the text with the author's last name, publication year and page number in parentheses.

For one person: (Nazarian, 22:1387) - (46: Ruuskanen, 2009)

For two people: (Nazarian and Rahimi, 2012: 125) - (2010: 64, Narayan & Cassidy)

For three people and more than: (Nazarian et al., 2013: 85) - (Sheehan et al., 2013: 109)

 - The method of writing the specifications of the sources and references at the end of the article based on the letters of the alphabet should be in the form of the following examples:

- Book: last name, name of the author (authors) or translator (year of publication), book title (italics), date of publication, place of publication, relevant publisher.

 Note: In case of using theses or student theses, it is mandatory to mention the name of the supervisor and advisor, the title of the field and the name of the relevant university.

 - The articles taken from students' theses and dissertations are published jointly with the supervisor, advisers and students under the supervisor's responsibility.

 The author or authors are responsible for the scientific and legal validity of the article.
 Journal of Urban Tourism reserves the right to reject or accept as well as edit the articles.
 Due to the necessity of the participation of the respected author/authors in the preparation, printing and publication of the publication, the costs of each article approved for publication will be charged. The number of pages of each article should not exceed the maximum of 15 pages.
 Rejected or withdrawn articles will be removed from the archive of the journal after three months, and the journal will not bear any responsibility in this regard.
